Prospect Discovery

Discovery lets Minoo find prospects that match your criteria. Instead of manually researching and building lists, you describe who you're looking for and Minoo does the work.

How Discovery Works

  1. Define Criteria — Describe who you're looking for: industry, location, company size, role
  2. AI Search — Minoo searches for matching prospects using multiple data sources
  3. Review Results — See discovered prospects with their information and relevance scores
  4. Add to Contacts — Add the prospects you like to your contact list or distribution lists
  1. Go to Discovery in the sidebar
  2. Click New Search
  3. Define your criteria:

Search Criteria

Discovery Progress

Discovery takes time — Minoo is researching, not just querying a database. You can:

  • Leave and come back (you'll be notified when complete)
  • Watch progress in real-time
  • Cancel if needed

Typical timing:

  • 10-20 prospects: 2-5 minutes
  • 50+ prospects: 10-15 minutes

Reviewing Results

When complete, you'll see a list of discovered prospects with:

FieldDescription
NamePerson's name
EmailFound email address (verified)
CompanyOrganization they work for
TitleTheir role/position
Match ScoreHow well they match your criteria (%)
SourceWhere Minoo found them

Match Score

The match score indicates how closely a prospect matches your criteria:

  • 90-100% — Excellent match
  • 70-89% — Good match, minor deviations
  • 50-69% — Partial match, review carefully
  • Below 50% — Weak match, likely not ideal

Filtering Results

Use filters to narrow results by:

  • Match score threshold
  • Verified email only
  • Specific location or company size

Adding to Contacts

Add Individual Prospects

  1. Click on a prospect row
  2. Review their information
  3. Click Add to Contacts
  4. Optionally add to a distribution list

Bulk Add

  1. Select multiple prospects using checkboxes
  2. Click Add Selected
  3. Choose which list to add them to (optional)
info

Prospects aren't added to your contacts automatically. You always review and decide who to add.

Email Verification

Minoo verifies email addresses during discovery. You'll see:

  • Verified — Email confirmed valid
  • Unverified — Couldn't confirm (may still be valid)
  • Invalid — Confirmed bad address
warning

Sending to unverified emails carries higher bounce risk. Consider verifying manually or testing with a small batch first.

Discovery History

Access past searches from the Discovery page. Each search shows:

  • Date and criteria used
  • Number of prospects found
  • How many you added to contacts

You can re-run past searches to find new prospects matching the same criteria.

Data Sources

Minoo aggregates data from multiple sources:

  • Public business directories
  • Company websites
  • Professional networks
  • Business registrations
info

Minoo only finds publicly available information. It doesn't access private databases or violate terms of service.

Best Practices

Be Specific

"Marketing agencies" is vague. "B2B marketing agencies with 5-20 employees in Cape Town" gets better results. The more specific your criteria, the more relevant your prospects.

Start with Location

If you serve a local market, always include location. It dramatically improves relevance and makes your outreach more personal.

Review Match Scores

Don't just add everyone above 50%. A 95% match is likely worth pursuing; a 55% match might waste your time. Be selective.

Check Before Adding

Click into prospects before adding them. A quick review catches bad fits that the algorithm missed.

Iterate Your Criteria

If results aren't great, refine your criteria and run another search. Discovery is meant to be iterative.

Combining Discovery with Campaigns

A powerful workflow:

  1. Discover — Find 50 yoga studios in your city
  2. Add to list — Create "Yoga Studios Q1" list with the best matches
  3. Campaign — Create a campaign targeting that list
  4. Minoo drafts — Personalized emails using discovery data
  5. You approve — Review and send

This gives you a targeted, personalized campaign without hours of manual research.
